What is Children's
Urgent Care?
Children's
Urgent Care is an extended total pediatric practice
designed to make your medical experience as convenient as
possible. We understand children do not always need medical
attention during normal business hours. Our office is open
seven days a week with extended hours. We also accept long
term patients and would be honored to be your child's regular
pediatrician.
Children's Urgent Care is equipped
to deal with a wide variety of minor emergency care. We are
often able to prevent unnecessary trips to crowded and costly
emergency rooms. We have experienced staff exclusively trained
to treat children.
We do not accept ambulances and life threatening
situations. In these instances parents are advised to call
911 or to take their child to nearest emergency room.
Do I need an appointment to be seen?
No, you do not always need an appointment to be seen by our
physicians. We realize you cannot control when your child
needs medical attention. If your child does not have an appointment,
he/ she will be seen as a walk-in emergency. We make every
attempt to see your child in a timely manner. We do prefer
that when possible, you do schedule an appointment, especially
for physicals and immunizations. This allows us to minimize
waiting times. Please notify us 24 hours in advance if you
need to cancel your appointment.
Insurance and Payment
We participate in and accept most insurance plans and medicaid.
If this is your first visit to our center, please bring your
insurance card and picture identification with you. Your co-payment
and/or deductible is payable at the time of service. We accept
cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
as forms of payment. We offer a cash discount to those who
may not have medical insurance. Feel free to contact our Insurance
Services Department regarding our financial policies and insurance
questions.
If we are closed
As your pediatrician, we want to make certain your child receives
the best possible medical care. We also want to make certain
that your child is safe. If Children's Urgent Care is closed
and your child needs medical attention, you can call the Parent
Advice Line at 731 5437. A trained pediatric nurse will be
available to assist you and instruct you whether to take the
child to the emergency room. You may also call our emergency
pager at (702) 630-3526
